A block away from Orchard Road’s constant rush, Lanson Place Winsland, Singapore offers a quiet, lived-in comfort that many travelers look for, especially during longer stays. While the property sits close to major shopping hubs and commercial spots, it manages to keep a calm, residential feel, which is one of the things that distinguishes it from most hotels in the area.
Location remains one of its strongest advantages. Somerset and Dhoby Ghaut MRT stations are an easy five- to seven-minute walk, placing most of Singapore within convenient reach. The building is surrounded by food spots, supermarkets, and malls, making it easy to move between errands, dining, and leisure.

The serviced apartment favors space and practicality over the standard hotel layout. Suites range from compact studios to two-bedroom units measuring over 1,300 square feet, and this generous room sizing is one of the most frequently praised features, especially by families or groups who value comfort and personal space.
My stay came right after the TravMedia IMM conference in October, at which point I was already halfway through a 13-day Singapore trip. That made the in-room washer-dryer a highlight. With a suitcase full of used clothes, having a dependable machine (detergent included, by the way) was a welcome convenience.
Two nights later, I left with a full set of freshly washed, good-smelling clothes. It’s a simple amenity, but one that genuinely improves the stay, especially for long-haul travelers or those moving from one city to another. For guests who prefer to travel light like myself, it makes an even bigger difference.

The small welcome touches go a long way, too. The cold, fruit-infused water offered in the lobby set a warm tone for the stay, and the bowl of fresh fruits waiting in my suite on arrival was another thoughtful plus.
Kitchens across the suites are equally helpful. Stocked with basic cookware, utensils, dishwashing liquid, and a coffee machine, they offer an easy alternative to eating out every meal. For a coffee lover like myself, I appreciated the fact that I could ask for as many coffee capsules as I please, which, of course, I did. And since the property doesn’t include breakfast, the proximity to cafés, restaurants, and grocery stores makes planning meals effortless.
Public spaces keep things low-key. The courtyard and alfresco garden offer quiet corners for reading or sipping coffee, and I managed to spend a couple of relaxed mornings there. Singapore’s walkable environment also makes it easy to explore the surroundings, and I was able to go for short runs around the property, with several pocket parks nearby adding a welcome touch of greenery.

Inside the suites, noise levels remain surprisingly low despite the major road nearby. The sound insulation works well, contributing to restful sleep, complemented by comfortable mattresses and large wardrobes that help keep the space uncluttered. These small conveniences add up, shaping an experience that feels more like staying in a private apartment than in a high-traffic hotel.
Filipino travelers would find Lanson Place Winsland, Singapore appealing, with its central location, spacious rooms, and practical amenities, which give balue for money, especially for bigger groups.
Overall, Lanson Place Winsland, Singapore’s calm, homey atmosphere and attentive service make it a solid pick for travelers seeking a comfortable, home-like stay in the city.
