Acer Day 2025 mixes nostalgia and fresh talent in a night of breaking limits

Acer Day 2025 drew over 50,000 live and online viewers on August 9, transforming the Mall of Asia Arena into a sea of green for a night where technology and music came together in spectacular fashion. With the theme “Break A Limit,” the event underscored Acer’s push for innovation while celebrating Filipino talent on one electrifying stage.

Hosted by Robi Domingo, the ninth edition of Acer Day brought together an all-star lineup led by Sarah Geronimo, SB19, and G22, alongside a fresh batch of ambassadors from Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition including Klarisse De Guzman, Mika Salamanca, Shuvee Etrata, Esnyr Ranollo, Will Ashley, Brent Manalo, Ralph De Leon, and Charlie Fleming. Guest performers KMKZ, Itchyworms, and Maki completed the stacked roster.

For longtime OPM fans, the night came with a welcome wave of nostalgia. KMKZ and Itchyworms—both household names in the 2000s—lit up the stage with their signature hits, reminding the crowd why their music still resonates years later.

Maki, known for his high-energy sets, kept the momentum going with performances that had the crowd singing along. Social media personality Esnyr Ranollo proved he could command a live stage as well as he does online, with comedic timing and charisma that translated seamlessly to an arena audience.

Then came the country’s Female Alphas, G22, returning to Acer Day with a slightly different look but the same explosive presence. Now a trio, the group delivered fan favorites such as “Pa-Pa-Pa-Palaban” and “Musik” with tight vocals and commanding choreography, showing how much they’ve grown in the past year alone.

Of course, no Acer Day would be complete without its marquee headliners. Pop royalty Sarah Geronimo brought the house down with her hits “Tala” and “Kilometro,” a reminder of her enduring reign in the local music scene. SB19, one of the country’s biggest acts, closed the show on a high note with crowd-pleasers “DAM” and “DUNGKA!” as well as exciting collaborations that embodied the event’s spirit of breaking limits.

And collaboration truly was the word of the night. From Klarisse and SB19’s Stell delivering a soaring “A Million Dreams” to the much-anticipated first live performance of “Umaaligid” by SB19 and Sarah Geronimo, the evening was filled with unexpected pairings and creative crossovers. G22 and SB19 teaming up for “8tonball” drew deafening cheers.

The night wrapped with “Ace Your World,” Acer’s original song, leaving the arena buzzing with energy. “We set out on a mission to break limits, and we achieved it,” said Princess Laosantos, senior marketing manager at Acer Philippines.

With its blend of cutting-edge tech and world-class performances, Acer Day 2025 proved once again that it’s as much as a concert as it is a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and the power of pushing beyond boundaries.
